Minotaur Maze was the first game I ever worked on, and also my first personal project. The summer before I started college, I decided to learn Unity Game Engine on my own, and then try making a game.
This project is a simple maze game. The goal is to travel through a randomly-generated hedge maze to get a treasure at the center, and then find a way out to win. However, there are also monsters within the maze lurking around.
The environment is intentionally dark, with only the player's torch giving enough light to navigate. Upon encountering a monster, the only way to survive is to turn off the torch to hide and wait for the monster to leave. I can recall scaring myself on multiple occasions while play-testing my own game.
